A good news for all students who weren't  able to clear their SSC Exams this year. For the first time there is a change in the SSC re-exam schedule. Student who have failed or not cleared specific subjects in SSC exams this year may not have to face a year drop issue this year.

The State Education Minister Vinod Tawde has declared that this student will be able to appear for a re-exam in the second week of July, 2015 rather than waiting till October. The results of the re-exam will be declared in a month's time. The results are said to be declared in the 2nd or 3rd week of August, 2015.

There will be no re-exams held in the month of October from this year. The estimate number of students who failed in SSC exams were around 52,792 in the Mumbai Division, which consists of the repeaters and freshers. And across the state the total count is around 1.5 lakh, who did not clear their SSC exams this year. This is a good news for all those who have got demotivated and they have a got a strong opportunity to clear their SSC exams and move forward their education system.

Presently the students who have failed in a few subjects are given the facility of "ATKT" (Allowed to Keep Term). With this facility students can gain admissions in college's and then appear for the ATKT exams held in October. This admission is conducted after regular admission rounds are over and because of this rule, they end up missing out on the admissions in choosing the college of their own.

The application forms will be made available from June 15, 2015. Oral and practical exams will be conducted around 15th July. The State Education Department will update the re-examination time table in a week's time.
