Maggi Noodles Latest Update

Believe it or not - All over India the total packets of Maggi found which are yet to be destroyed are 400 million packets. The company said that it will at least take near about 40 days to destroy all the packets of Maggi. The test results, which came out a few days prior in India said that, "Maggi is unsafe and injurious to health." Nestle the creator of 2 minutes Maggi instant noodles has captured 80 % of India's market. The company further added that the 27,420 tonnes worth Rs. 320 crore of Maggi destroyer project is not one in its own history, but also one in the entire Food Industry.

At present 17,020 tonnes of Maggi are with distributors, shopkeepers and consumers. The process has started of buying back the cartons of Maggi so that they can be destroyed. For getting all those packets, cartons of Maggi thousand of truck trips  would be required to carry those packets to the company where they will be destroyed. The packets of Maggi will be destroyed in a five different cement factories where they will be mixed with fuel and will be set to high temperatures for destruction.

The destruction capacity is 700 tonnes a day in those factories, hence it will take near about 40 days for destroying the total stock of Maggi. It was been declared on the 12th June after the test results came up. that Maggi noodles has lead content above the permissible levels and hence it came to a Ban. Maggi noodles initially started in 1983. After 35 years of service now its time to say Good Bye to Maggi noodles. 

Maggi was one of the best food which was used as it was easy to make and fill our stomach needs. Nestle is still saying the test results are inaccurate because Nestle on its own had carried over 1000 tests which said that the content was under the permitted limit, however the court ordered the food department to file their responses to the Nestles petition that the ban be completely revoked in time until a further court hearing on the 30th of June.
