Blast At Ukraine Fuel Pump
Five people were killed in Ukraine as a blast took place at a Fuel Station in Vasylkiv. Three firemen went missing who were trying to extinguish the fire at Vasylkiv, Ukraine.
The Fuel pump met up with the blast at night and was on till the morning and it had spread to at least 16 tanks, the majority of them storing petrol. The blast caused a lot of black smoke, which spread all over the area near Vasylkiv, which was 30 km away from Kiev.
The fireman now have the situation under control. All the tanks were consumed in flames, fearing that it will spread to nearby fuel depots as well because it had spread over 16 kms, the weapons and equipment in the nearby military base were also removed for safety precautions.
The crisis would be completely under control within next 12 hours. The burnt bodies of the three firemen were rescued who fought the battle and gave up their lives for saving others life.
"Hats Off to those brave firemen," they did not let go their responsibilities and gave up their lives.
The emergency services available said that two more bodies were found and several people were severely injured.
3 trains and 62 fire fighting units filled with water were being mobilized to extinguish this massive fire.Rescuers had evacuated people from within a 2- 3 km radius of the fire, the police are investigating the reason behind this blast.
The owner of the fuel pump said that he thinks that the fire was the result of an Arson attack to damage their business. 25,000 cubic meters of fuel had been stored which was flamed into the fire.
