SpiceJet Flight Tickets At Rs. 1

SpiceJET is providing 100,000 seats on sale for one rupee (excluding taxes and fees) in three-day sale on its mobile app. The sale will begin on Wednesday and will run until Friday and tickets underneath the scheme are valid for travel between July 15 to March 31, 2016.

The discount provided is offered only through mobile app and not through any other channel. A customer will have to purchase a return ticket to avail himself of the discounted fare. Also the discounted fare will be available solely in one way and not for both ways.

A senior executive from a rival airline said the sale indicated a money crunch at SpiceJet however the airline's chief operating officer Sanjiv Kapoor denied it.

“There is not any money crunch. We are simply doing what work and through this sale we are promoting our app, that will be an enormous success for us,” Kapoor said.

“SpiceJet has been recognised by business consultants as a number one mastermind within the Indian airline business in recent times, because it has scripted a motivating turnaround and came back to gain.”

Tickets bought beneath this sale are non-refundable (statutory taxes are refundable) and non-changeable. There's a restricted inventory beneath the provision,and seats are obtainable on a first-come, first-serve basis solely. Availability depends on route, flight, date, and time of day, the airline said in a statement.
